The Sensbalance Therapy Chair
The Sensbalance Therapy Chair is a chair with a tilting seat, with underneath an integrated electronic sensor circuitry board, which connects to your own laptop or computer either via an USB cable or a optional Wireless connection. The seat has a saddle shape and the back and arm supports are adjustable in height and width. Because of these supports the Therapy Chair provides a safe training environment for elderly people. As with all Sensamove exercise equipment, on the monitor of the connected laptop direct visual feedback is presented about the exercises performed by pelvis and lower back. In this way users can easily correct and improve their exercising on the spot and see direct results on the screen. Exercising becomes much more effective and entertaining. Games will help to challenge the user even more.
There are two types of the Therapy Chair:
- The Sensbalance Therapy Chair Basic has a rubber tilting mechanism, which gives resistance during the tilting exercises.
- De Sensbalance Therapy Therapy Chair Pro has a very flexible spring system with very low resistance during the tilting exercises.
Fully functional Basic Sensbalance Software is included, which consists of basic measurement & recording biofeedback software and 18 therapy- exercise games.
Application
Both Chairs are intended for lower back exercises. Because of the saddle seat and the adjustable supports it is a safe training aid for elderly people without having fear of instability and falling. The saddle seat guarantees the same sitting posture during repeated measurement made for comparison reasons.
The Sensbalance Therapy Chair Basic is used when in the combined use of global and intrinsic muscles, predominantly the large global muscles need to be trained. Because of the higher resistance of the rubber tilting mechanism more muscle power is required for the tilting.
The Sensbalance Therapy Chair Pro is used if predominantly the smaller intrinsic muscles need to be trained. Because of the very flexible tilting mechanism, general posture is controlled by pre-activation of the global muscles, but for the coordination and corrective movements the tiny intrinsic deeper muscles are being activated and trained.
